A Holiday Letdown: Why We Won’t Be Returning to Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar

We had high hopes for our family holiday gathering at Harvest on Montage Mountain, but unfortunately, it was an experience we won’t be forgetting anytime soon—and not for the right reasons.

It started with an unexpected hiccup when someone mysteriously canceled our reservation at the last minute. We can confidently say it wasn’t anyone in our party of 10, but despite being accused otherwise, we appreciated that the staff scrambled to accommodate us.

As for the food, most of the dishes were delightful, with only one falling short of expectations. The service was excellent throughout the meal—attentive and friendly—until the very end when things took another turn. We felt rushed out the door as if our presence was no longer welcome. For a restaurant charging premium prices, the least we expected was to enjoy our meal without being made to feel like a burden.

The treatment we received regarding the reservation issue sealed our decision never to return. Being wrongfully accused of canceling repeatedly left a bad taste in our mouths, especially when we had been looking forward to celebrating the season together.

Overall, the experience left much to be desired. Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar may have its moments, but for us, this chain restaurant didn’t live up to the hype. We encourage everyone to support local, family-owned establishments instead—places where you’ll truly feel valued as a customer and leave with memories worth cherishing. This holiday season has reminded us why we prefer to put our trust (and money) in local gems over chains.

According to Resy, the mishap occurred because “the restaurant team accidentally booked the reservation using the wrong account.”

What’s worse? The restaurant swore up and down that he was the one calling to make the reservation—even though it never happened. Did we get an apology for the mix-up? Not at all. Instead, they stood by their team 100%, refusing to acknowledge their mistake.

Shame on you, Harvest—you’ve officially lost a loyal, long-time customer. We will never book with Harvest again, and if we ever do, it certainly won’t be under his name.

As for the imposter “Glenn Murphy,” shame on you as well.
