Pre Cruise

The day before boarding the NCL Gem for our exciting cruise, we made the most of our time in Miami! 🌴 • Started the day with a delicious breakfast at Sunrise Café ☕ • Spent the day at the Holiday Inn Miami Resort, soaking up the vibes • Hung out with Glynn’s brother Curt and his friend Gary • Ended the night at Xixon, indulging in one of the most epic feasts—literally tried everything off the menu! 🥘🍷 It was an unforgettable pre-cruise adventure. Day 1 - Embarkation Day

The wait is over—it’s cruise time! 🚢 Join us as we board the beautiful Norwegian Gem for an incredible journey. From the excitement of stepping onboard to exploring the ship’s amenities, we’re diving headfirst into this adventure.

Just a heads-up—we ran into ‪@AKAdventures‬ on the ship 🛳️, and Lucia is absolutely over the moon! She said it felt like winning the lottery meeting them. They’re the third set of creators we’ve had the pleasure of meeting, but ‪@DanielandYuka‬ and ‪@TeaiandJohn‬ will always hold a special place as our first two, embodying true humility and kindness.

Day 2 - Sea Day

Join us for a relaxing sea day aboard the NCL Gem! We kicked things off with breakfast at O’Sheehan’s, the 24-hour local eatery, before heading to the pool to soak up some sun—until a storm rolled in! 🌦️ The day continued with plenty of relaxation around the ship, and we capped it off with an incredible dinner at La Cucina, featuring pizza, chicken salad, beef tenderloin, and a sweet finish with cannoli.

Day 3 - Puerto Plata

Our Puerto Plata adventure aboard the NCL Gem was nothing short of amazing! From a visit to Marine Puerto Plata to indulging in a sushi feast at Orchid Garden on the ship, the day was packed with fun. To top it all off, we ended the evening with some entertaining karaoke. Day 4 Catalina Island Day on NCL Gem

Today, we decided to skip going ashore at Catalina Island and instead made the most of our time onboard the NCL Gem! From lounging by the pool and meeting amazing people from around the world to enjoying an incredible Teppanyaki dinner featuring the ‘Blazing Saddles’ show at the Stardust Theater, it was a day well spent. Day 5 Curaçao 

Join us as we explore the beautiful island of Curaçao on Day 5 of our NCL Gem cruise! 🌴 We hopped on an open-air bus tour for just $25 and got a fantastic view of the island’s highlights, including a stop at the famous Curaçao Liqueur Distillery to see how the iconic blue drink is made. After a day of sightseeing, we returned to the ship for an incredible Chinese food experience and some top-notch entertainment. Another unforgettable day in paradise! Day 6 Aruba Adventures with NCL Gem

Today on the NCL Gem, we explored the beautiful island of Aruba! Renting a car from Jay’s Rental, we embarked on a day full of unforgettable stops, including Baby Beach, the California Lighthouse, Saint Alto Chapel, Bushiribana Gold Mill Ruins, Ayo Rock Formation, and Lola’s for the best Mexican food in Aruba. After a full day on land, we returned to the ship for a well-deserved nap and ended the night feasting at Cagney’s Steakhouse. This has been the best stop in our Norwegian Cruise Line journey so far!

Day 8 Panama Canal

Day 9 Panama Farewell

Our post-cruise adventures in Panama City wrap up with a full day of fun and surprises! We started off at the Crown Plaza Hotel by the airport, enjoyed a delicious lunch at Los Años Locos with our friend Julian from South America, and raced go-karts at Towne Center Mall for some adrenaline-filled excitement. The day ended with dinner at the hotel and some unexpected hotel creeper drama. Tomorrow, it’s back to Newark, NJ, followed by NYC on Friday and home sweet home Friday night. Don’t miss this action-packed day!
